Kanyosha, Burundi – Retailers of the Kanyosha Urban Zone market are unhappy with the delay in the reopening of the newly rehabilitated market.
Mr. Clément HARIMENSHI, a tailor who worked in the market, said in addition to the delay in reopening the new market there is also the high fees imposed to them for building stands in the new market. He specified that retailers are compelled to pay almost 600,000 BIF.
Mr. Révérien NSENGIYUMVA, a retailer in the same market, pleaded authorities to urgently reopen the rehabilitated market. He shared that he has already lost a lot of money with that delay.
A lady who preferred to remain anonymous, also emphasized that authorities should urgently reopen the rehabilitated market, reduce the fees for building stands and provide small loans.
